- How to be safe in public areas
- Who can you call for help
- How do you get emergency help

Eddie Eagle Gun Safety
classes will be starting next week October 6th at 6:30 pm 2009 for kids in grades 1st
to 5th grade.
This class teaches kids about gun safety and what to do if they
are in a situation where a gun is involved. It also teaches kids about other
safety ideas, like what do you do if you are separated from you parents at the
mall? What do you do if you are approached by a stranger at the park? When is it
O.K. to dial 911?
This is a very interesting
course for younger kids to participate in and learn about gun safety. If you are
interested in signing your child up for this class.

Our number one primary goal is to: Teach as many kids as possible about proper gun safety.

Students participate in class groups to answer safety questions for different scenarios.
Students shoot air rifles on the indoor range.
All air rifles, pellets, targets safety equipment are supplied by the club free of charge.
If you wish to supply your own safety equipment it will be inspected by instructors before use.
You may NOT use your own air rifle under any circumstances.

Course Two: NRA Basic Rifle Shooting Course
The NRA Basic Rifle Shooting Course teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for the safe use of a rifle in target shooting.
This course is at least 14 hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot rifles.
Students learn
- NRA’s rules for safe gun handling
- rifle parts and operation
- ammunition
- shooting fundamentals
- range rules
- shooting from the bench rest, prone, sitting, standing and kneeling positions;
- cleaning,
- plus continued opportunities for skill development.
