Outdoor Range

1. You must have your ID to shoot
Always wear your identification badge when on the range, as the police department will be helping us to monitor the range to ensure that only members use the facilities.

For now, no shotguns, except when shooting slugs. When the shotgun area at the range is finished, you will be able to shoot shot shells, but please do not shoot them now. Until the shotgun shooting area is completed, clay birds are not allowed on the range.

Clean your area up after shooting, including your target, cardboard, brass etc. (Please try to leave the range cleaner than you found it.) For now, targets will only be available at the indoor pistol range. You will need to pay for them on the honor system just as we now do for the pistol targets.

There are portable toilets on the range for members use, please help keep them clean.

Consumption of alcohol before or during a firing session is strictly forbidden.

For those of you who haven't been out to the range, as yet, it is located behind the airport, across the street from the law enforcement training center. There is a sign that says Law Enforcement Center on the steel gate where you enter

Indoor Range

The Range Safety Officer will be in charge of the range during all club functions. In his/her absence, the senior club officer present will be responsible. In the interest of safety, any and all orders given by the officer in charge must be obeyed immediately.

Firearms shall be cased or tabled with the actions open, magazines removed and the chamber empty whenever anyone is forward of the firing line. According to the NRA procedures for indoor ranges, firearms are always pointed downrange when on the firing line.

Only .17 and .22 caliber rimfire rifles and any handgun caliber (Except those firing center fire rifle cartridges.) are allowed to be fired on this range. No shotguns or center fire rifles are allowed on the Indoor Range.
Consumption of alcohol before or during a firing session is strictly forbidden.

Your empty shell casings, targets etc. need to be picked up before leaving the range. (Please try to leave the range cleaner than you found it.)

Insure that the heating system, ventilation fans and lights are turned off before leaving the range. Make sure that the doors to the range are closed and locked when you leave.

All club members are responsible for the safety of their guests. Guests are bound by all club rules - and it is the responsibility of the member to enforce those rules. Spouses, and children under the age of 18, may access the range as guests of a dues paying member.
Anyone over the age of 18 may be brought as a guest one time. After that, they must become a dues paying member to enter the range.

Violation of any of these range safety rules can lead to expulsion from the club
